Folder list

The PaperOffice folder structure supports a hybrid mode that combines the best of both worlds - data storage in the PaperOffice SQL database and Windows file system data storage with virtually included Windows folders.

These various folders can then eg which are marked with a remark, linked to contacts or provided with release levels.

For network-compatible versions, different folder structures are used for an even more individual working atmosphere.

Folder under "My PaperOffice Documents" (FolderCrypt) (Subfunction 1 from 9)

Folders and documents under "My PaperOffice Documents" are stored encrypted in the database and can be automatically versioned.

Folder under "My Windows documents" (FolderMount) (Subfunction 2 from 9)

Folders and documents under "My Windows Documents" are only read or linked to virtually from your Windows file system. Documents in FolderMount are not encrypted and versioned.

Freely selectable folders (Subfunction 3 from 9)

You can freely edit the folder structure and thus flexibly adapt to your needs, no need to open an external editing window. You simply right-click on the main folder and select additional functions such as "Create new subfolder", "Folder properties and sharing level", "Folder color" or "Folder icon". In addition, you can sort your folders and subfolders to A-Z.

CreatCreate new folders and subfolders (Subfunction 4 from 9)

New folders and subfolders can easily be added to your folder structure, for both My PaperOffice documents and My Windows documents. Folders and subfolders added under "My Windows Documents" are also automatically added to your file system.

Manage your folders (Subfunction 5 from 9)

Easily manage your folders within the Administration folder, rename them, create subcategory folders, and add highly customized remarks. In addition, contacts can be linked to your folders by selecting existing contacts.

Visually mark the folder (Subfunction 6 from 9)

Provide individual folder with colorful symbols for a better view, or individual themes or add folder color.

Set release level per folder (Subfunction 7 from 9)

Specify who can access the folder here. Users below the release level will never see this folder, even in filter or search results. Newly added documents and subfolders are automatically provided with this release level.

Move folders and subfolders (Subfunction 8 from 9)

You can easily drag folders or subfolders to the corresponding main folder by dragging and dropping them. First mark the folder to be dragged and drag it with the left mouse button into the main folder and then let go. Folders and subfolders can only be moved within the respective modes (FolderCrypt and FolderMount).

Folder structure in the network (Subfunction 9 from 9)

For working in the network, the folder structure is separated into "My Documents" (folders and documents that the current user saves and which are not visible to the network) and "Common Documents" (folders and documents that can be seen network-wide). You can also move the documents from "My Documents" to "Common documents" without any problem to share them with the network and make them visible.
